In the event of an outbreak, our company regularly cleans its fleet with ozone generators in addition to general disinfectant cleaning for the safety of passengers and colleagues! Origin of the procedure, operating principle, rules of use!
It is a mature technology that was first used in the 19th century. This is ozone disinfection, a widely used air purification, disinfection process. Can be used in homes, motor vehicles, industrial buildings, restaurant kitchens, doctor’s offices, changing rooms, gyms, swimming pools, food storage areas and any place where a pathogen-free environment, clean and good air is needed!
The process was patented by Siemens, the father of modern electrical equipment, in 1857! The word ozone, by the way, comes from the Greek word “ozein” (which smells bad). Ozone is one of the most powerful disinfectants, 50 times more effective and 3,000 times faster than chlorine, making it perfect for sterilizing both water and air.
The ozone generator is extremely easy to use and we only need to follow a few important precautions.
– Only connect to an earthed socket!
– Do not have an open flame or hot surface in the room (eg boiler, boiler flame)!
– It is forbidden to stay in the treated room when using ozone gas!
– Do not use the device in dusty places above 40 ° C and 75% humidity.
Ozone gas (O3) contains three oxygen atoms, while inhaled air contains two. When highly reactive ozone molecules come in contact with bacteria, viruses, and other odor-causing particles, oxidation occurs, during which these harmful particles are completely destroyed, while the ozone molecule is converted to oxygen (O2) at the end of the chemical process. So there is nothing left but fresh oxygen-rich air after the treatment.
Because ozone molecules in the air always find dust, dirt, and pathogens to bind to themselves, so after about 45 minutes, most of them are converted back to oxygen, so the treated area can be safely occupied 45 minutes after treatment.
No chemicals are required during treatment with ozone gas, so the cleaning process is completely environmentally friendly.
Summary
Ozone generators have become very popular because of the coronavirus, but they are also accidentally used on a daily basis by ambulances, firefighters, transport companies and other companies. This long-established mature process is also perfect for residential use. It destroys everything in our car or apartment that is not there. Be it viruses, bacteria, mold after soaking, smoky or cigarette smoke, or pet odor. Ozone gas can penetrate the pores of upholstery and trees, so it can even be used to deodorize beds, sofas and cabinets. In addition, ozone treatment not only masks unpleasant odors, but also destroys odor-emitting particles, thus eliminating the source of the odor.
