November is the first month when the weather justifies fitting winter tyres and “switching” our driving style to winter mode! Roads become slippery, braking distances increase, visibility deteriorates! November has been a trick this year, with record temperatures in the first few weeks, but the last few days have unfortunately seen the arrival of the sleet.
The first observation station in Buda burnt down in 1848 and was only reopened in 1861!
The weather forecast is an important help for regular or occasional road users!
If you are advised not to set off on a journey, except in an emergency, you should still prefer public transport, bus companies, where experienced drivers do their job well and regularly maintained and checked vehicles are used!
